Visa Information​

  • Who needs a visa: International participants should apply for a Non-Immigrant (Conference/Seminar/Workshop) Visa at the nearest Bangladesh Embassy/Consulate in their country/state of residence. Please start early to allow processing time.
  • Visa on Arrival / Exemptions: Visa on Arrival (VoA) and visa exemptions are generally for tourism only and are not valid for attending conferences, workshops, or seminars. https://voa.specialbranch.gov.bd/public/voa-instructions.html
  • Official Passports: Holders of diplomatic or official (service) passports from certain countries may be eligible for visa-free entry. Please check the Bangladesh Embassy/Consulate website or your country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the current list and conditions.
  • Where to apply & info: Requirements can vary by location. Always refer to the official website of the Bangladesh Embassy/Consulate serving your jurisdiction for the latest forms, fees, and appointment procedures.
  • Invitation letters: To request an official Invitation Letter (for visa support), email mfbisoh.conference@gmail.com with:
    1. Your passport copy (photo page),
    2. Full name (as in passport), affiliation, position, and nationality,
    3. Tentative travel dates,
    4. Presentation title (if applicable), and registration confirmation..

Note: Visa rules can change. The conference organizers cannot guarantee visa issuance; the final decision rests with the Government of Bangladesh
